New Executive Director at the GIO

Glenn Williamson has assumed the role of the first Executive Director of the General Insurance OmbudService (GIO) as of May, 2005. Lea Algar continues as chair of the General Insurance OmbudService. 

The GIO started in May 2002 as the consumer dispute resolution office for general insurance (home, car and business insurance) and is part of the Centre for Financial Services OmbudsNetwork (CFSON).  It assists in resolving conflicts between customers and their insurance companies.
