Results of Risk Based Market Conduct Survey Released

In July 2008, insurance companies submitted their responses to Alberta’s first risk-based market conduct survey which looked at the extent to which their company was in compliance with sections of the Insurance Act.  The Superintendent, Dennis Gartner, reports that he is very pleased with the results. The overwhelming majority of companies have policies and procedures in place to assist them with compliance with the Act and regulations, and that such policies are reviewed on an annual basis.
