Quebec has published in the Official Gazette (November 12, 2008, Vol.140, No 46, page 5105) a draft regulation for a 45 day comment period.  The Regulation entitled Regulation under the Act respecting insurance replaces the previous Regulation respecting the application of the Act respecting insurance.  The regulation reflects changes to the Act respecting insurance and harmonizes insurance practices in Quebec with other provinces, particularly in the area of classes of insurance (page 5108) and group insurance practices (Chapter XI , page 5114).  Required disclosures are listed in Chapter V (page 5110-5111).
