At the October 2009 meeting in St. John’s Newfoundland, the CISRO selected Shonna Neil to be its Chair for the next two years, taking over from Gerry Matier, Executive director of the Insurance Council of British Columbia.

Shonna is the Senior Manager, Licensing and Analysis in the Licensing and Market Conduct Division at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO), a position she has held since 2004. She oversees the licensing and registration requirements for insurance companies and intermediaries, trust companies, credit unions, caisses popularies, co-operatives and the mortgage brokering sector.  Shonna also chairs FSCO’s Mortgage Broker Stakeholder Committee.
